Ring Size Guide

Jenelle's Jewellers Ring Size Guide

At Jenelle's Jewellers, we understand that finding the perfect ring size is crucial for comfort and satisfaction. Whether you're selecting a ring for yourself or purchasing it as a surprise gift, this guide will walk you through the process of finding the right size.

How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

If you can’t visit us in person, measuring your ring size at home is easy. Here are two methods:

Method 1: Measuring an Existing Ring

  1. Choose a well-fitting ring that fits the intended finger.
  2. Measure the inner diameter:
    • Place the ring on a ruler and measure the inside edge from one side to the other in millimetres.
  3. Match the diameter: Use the chart below to find your ring size based on the diameter.
Inner Diameter (mm) US Ring Size UK Ring Size EU Size Japanese Size
14.1 3 F 44 4

Method 2: Using String or Paper

If you don’t have a ring handy, use a strip of paper or a piece of string to measure your finger:

  1. Cut a thin strip of paper (or use string).
  2. Wrap it around the base of your finger, ensuring it's snug but not too tight.
  3. Mark the point where the paper or string overlaps.
  4. Measure the length in millimetres.
  5. Use the circumference chart below to find your size.

Helpful Tips for Accurate Ring Measurement

  • Time of Day: Measure your fingers at the end of the day when they are at their largest. Cold weather may cause your fingers to shrink, while heat can make them expand.
  • Finger Fluctuations: Fingers change size slightly depending on the hand, temperature, or time of day. Ensure that your measurement is taken when your finger is at its normal size.
  • Ring Width: Wider rings tend to fit more tightly than thinner rings, so if you're purchasing a band that’s wider than normal, consider sizing up slightly.

Additional Notes

  • Resizing: If you find your ring is not the right size, we offer resizing services at Jenelle's Jewellers to ensure a comfortable fit.
  • Gift Considerations: If you’re buying a ring as a gift and don’t know the exact size, opt for a slightly larger size. It’s easier to size down than to enlarge a ring.
